Bah humbug

And it's only August.

Feeling the pressure now. Combination of busybusybusy, me being run down and sick, and my impending holidays are kinda leaving me in a mad up/down mood at the moment. Have LOTS to do, am trying to get it all done, while enjoying life (a little) and looking forward to seeing friends and family in the good ol' UK over the next two weeks. Missing Metallica, but hey :)

I did see Robbie Williams last week however, and he's doing fine, thanks for asking. Apparently his biggest gig ever, 135,000 people. We were in "pit 2" whatever that means. That's what was written on the armbands for getting past security, if that's any help. Ash and Kelly Osborne and The Wannadies were supporting, and A.N. Other who we missed. Kinda missed the Wannadies too - they were on as we arrived to the park and had our 25 minute walk to the arena area, via a pub where the hungry decided to eat. I wasn't hungry, but I ate.

So he played for however long, we got rained on, he left the stage and came out on the walkway to join us because we were getting rained on. He had his mic and an acoustic guitar, and got rained on. I thought this was so funny, because the lead singer in our band gets COMPLETELY freaked whenever it's raining after our gigs and she's afraid the gear will get wet on its way out to the car. Fer ****'s sake, our gear is PACKED! His gear was, well, connected! Like, he was USING it at the time, and it was getting rained on! Hrmph.

And on Saturday I'm flying to Bristol, via oul' faithful Ryanair. I get my 55 minutes of cattle treatment, herded on, herded off. I hope the weather stays as nice as it has been - I've been told it's been gorgeous over there for the last few weeks. Here's hoping it stays that way.

Speaking of family and friends, my sis arrived back from Spain on sunday, has been there for 2 months, and I haven't seen her yet because of my busyness. And I won't before my hols. And she's gonna be moving while I'm away, so when I come back she won't be there. And my brother got his leaving cert results, did fairly well, and again I won't get a chance to see him before I go. Bah. Too bobba busy. Bah humbug.
